Veronica
Born in Taranaki and moved with parents to Wainuiomata before returning to New Plymouth where I went to NPGHS.
I started working with a Motoring company doing wages and then to an Engineering company where I did accounts and wages for approximately 100 staff on several work sites, before moving to Tegel where I was in charge of accounts receivable and a staff member under my control. After moving to their head office where I was in IT and computer support help for the telephone selling staff at several sites in the North Island, before returning to New Plymouth. I then moved to a sole charge position at a rental car company doing all aspects of accounts and wages including sending information to the Accountant.
My husband Steven & I owned a Bitumen contracting business for 18 years with a staff of 4, while bringing up 2 adult children, so I know how the other side of accounting works.
While at Vanburwray Chartered Accountants Ltd for 13 years I achieve my Diploma in Business. I am a quiet but hard-working person whom likes to get a job done well, the more involved the better the challenge, so its like putting a “puzzle” together and the reward at the end.
My interest is competing & travelling in our veteran (pre 1918) vehicles (one being a 1906 single cylinder Cadillac). I am currently the Chairman for the Vintage Car Club Inc Taranaki branch.
